The web portal

Create a Digital Document

First, log in to the platform on this link.

Next go to the “Today” screen, this is your home screen, and click new or the arrow pointing down. You will see a list of digital documents you can make. If you don’t see any digital document to select, you can ask your admin to activate it. For this example, we will create a Belgian CMR.


You will notice that the CMR is divided in 3 parts, destinations, goods and signatures.


After filling in the fields below (Destinations, Goods and Signatures), you can either click “save” if you want to change it later, or click “Save e-CMR” to finish the digital consignment note. When Completing you will see the CMR in your “Today” menu like this.


You can now skip to the DigiCMR app part for continuing your flow. Or scroll down to see other functions of the web platform.


In this part, pickup address, delivery address, carriers… are specified. Most fields are the same as the paper version.

  • File number: (Optional) A File number can be added to the consignment note.
  • Order number: (Optional) An order number can be added.
  • Driver: Here you fill in the driver’s username. Your driver will then receive the consignment note if you click “Save e-CMR”.
  • Truck: Here comes the license plate of your truck.
  • Trailer: Here comes the license plate of the trailer.
  • Others are self-explanatory.


In the goods part, the transported goods are filled in. You can also add additional documents by sender or instructions of the sender.



In the signatures part you can find coordinates of all parties. Usually this fills automatically.


You will be able to see a digital autograph later.

Creating templates

To create a template, go to your home screen, click the dropdown menu next to new and click templates.


Then click “New Template” or select a type of document to make a new template of that specific document.


Give your template a name, this makes it easier to find. By clicking the “Default Template” checkbox, you will always use this template when creating a new CMR. To finish, fill in the desired content and hit the save button.


Options for Created Documents

When selecting a CMR you will see several options.


You can click details to see more details of this consignment note. In the detailed overview you will be able to change the driver, truck or trailer.


Copy CMR:

In the dropdown you can find advanced options. If you click the button you will only copy field 1,2 and 5 of the CMR. To copy more fields, go to advanced copy, and select full copy. You can also create several copies by filling in the desired amount.



New Template:

Click “New Template” to use this CMR as a base for a new template. You will still be able to adjust it before creating.


Upload Attachments:

You can add documents to your consignment note by selecting a document and clicking “upload attachments”. This might be handy to upload a plan for your driver, or customs documents.


Assign driver:

With the “Assign Driver” button you can assign a driver or reassign a driver. If you reassign a driver, the previous driver will no longer see the document.



The archive button is used for archiving finished CMR’s. Archived documents will get the status “completed”.



The delete button can delete draft documents. Once a document has the status planned you cannot delete it. If for some reason this transport order can’t be executed, you can cancel the order. Fill in the reason why this order has been cancelled. Then the document state will change to cancelled and it will disapear from the driver’s device.


Consulting finished documents

Search engine

Go to your “Inbox”. In the upper left corner, you will find an Advancedsearch option. Here you can set filters to find the right document.


Consult Document

Click open the document, there you will see all your files. The consignment note, and other attachments can be found there.


DigiCMR app

Install the DigiCMR app on your smartphone or tablet.

We continue our flow. A CMR has now been created by the dispatcher and a driver has been assigned. If you have not created a CMR yet go to Create a Digital Document.

The driver will now receive a new order. Make sure your device is paired as explained here.

Logging In

The driver logs in with his 4-digit pin code. Next, he will see his new orders. He taps start order and drives to the loading address.



When your driver arrives at the place of loading, he taps “arrived” and “yes”. His time of arrival will automatically be registered. By clicking “reservations at reception” your driver can make remarks, just as on the paper CMR. He can add pictures for instance of damaged goods. In this example we mark that there is damage. No picture was taken.


If you tap the paperclip, there is a list of all attachments. As you can see, we did not upload any attachments in this case. You can also take a picture and add it to the file.



After loading is completed, both parties, driver and consignor sign the CMR. There are 3 ways to do so.

  1. Qr-code:
    This is the most efficient and secure way to sign a consignment note, but both parties should be connected to the platform.
  2. Sign on Glass:
    The consignor/consignee fills in his or her name and e-mail address, and signs on the driver’s device. The consignor or consignee will now receive an e-mail with the CMR.
  3. Sign in absence of consignor/consignee:
    When there is no one present, (e.g. deliveries at night) the driver selects Sign in absence of consignor/consignee. The driver’s geolocation will be saved as a proof that he was there to deliver or pickup goods.

First, the driver will be asked to sign. The driver can still change his license place of the truck or trailer. By tapping the “sign” button, the driver has signed the CMR. You will no longer see a visual autograph of the driver. This autograph is digital.

Next you will be asked how the consignor desires to sign the CMR. This can be done in one of the 3 ways above.



You’ll see that the CMR status has changed to “Delivery”. On the web platform you will see the status “Loaded”. You see your registered times, your remarks, your goods and if you scroll you can see the addresses. If you tap the paperclip, you’ll notice that there is an e-CMR right now. You can open this in pdf format. When we go back to the clipboard icon, we confirm our arrival.


The delivery flow is similar to the pickup flow. If you tap the three dots in the upper right corner. You can register your empties, or e-mail the CMR. The registered empties tab, has all sorts of packaging with the UN code next to it. Select the type of empty, and type in the number. Click save to continue.


Signature of Consignee

This signing process is similar to the signing process of the consignor.


Finished Documents

The status will now change to completed. In the right tab you can consult your finished CMR’s, and open them in pdf format. Or your dispatcher can Consulting finished documents the CMR using the web platform.



Go to the contacts tab, and select “All Contacts”. You will see this screen.


Adding Contacts

To add a contact, click the “New” button. You can fill in the company’s registration number (VAT number), the system will auto complete a big part of the company details. If the contact you add is a carrier, check the checkbox “Carrier License”.


Connecting Contacts

Once you added a contact you can invite them to their files. Click “Connect” next to the contact, now you can invite someone from the other company to see their documents.


Delete and Edit

You can delete or edit contacts by clicking on them and click edit or delete.
